History

1981

In 1981, when he was still a student at the University of Lausanne, Robin Cornelius first launched the idea that was to become the Switcher trademark.
For him, the sweat-shirts of the "yuppy" era were too monotonous "rugby stripes and symbols of American colleges" and he dreamed of comfortable and colourful polo shirts, in solid colours, and, above all, with no slogans. When it was launched, the first collection included only 2 models: a T-shirt and a sweat-shirt.

1985

Creation of the "Switcher Colour System©", a guarantee of reliability for the providers *, who are thus assured that, year after year, they can count on finding precisely the same hues.

The victory of the western world led to a remarkable acceleration of the internationalization process and a new "and strong" wave of relocation to developing countries, with all that this implies in terms of unjust and difficult working conditions.

1992

The year was marked by the "Earth Summit", which took place in Rio de Janeiro. This conference confirmed the growing awareness, at world level, of the interdependence of economic, social and environmental issues.
